The Model Kit
The body of the Gen-6 Chevy is laminated with great care and effort, which makes it both lightweight and sturdy.
Before any cutting or sanding, the body weighs less than 26.5 grams (0.94 oz). After cutting out the windows and wheel wells, the body weighs approximately 18-20 grams (0.63-0.71 oz).
Thanks to the use of carbon fiber, the structure is considerably stronger than pure resin or fiberglass (GRP) bodies, and it is also significantly lighter.
