Joe Ruttman
While he scored 13 wins and 111 top-10 finishes in the Truck Series, Ruttman often ended up the unlucky runner-up in the other two series.
After an extended break, he replaced Dale Earnhardt in 1981 on J.D. Stacy’s team, when Earnhardt left to join Richard Childress.
In 1995, Joe Ruttman made his first start in what was then the Craftsman Truck Series, won two races in his very first year and finished the season as runner-up in the championship.
The Model Kit
This 1998 model kit from Revell Monogram is a Ford F-150 race truck from the Camping World Truck Series.
The kit comes in white with clear and chrome-plated parts and includes a complete “Exide Batteries” decal sheet.
