The 1997 Chevy Monte Carlo
This radiant beauty was the official pace car, designed specially for one of NASCAR’s most impressive events: the annual “Coca Cola 600.”
It took place on May 25, 1997, at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and the bright red Chevy Monte Carlo with the number 1 led the parade.
The winner of the “Coca Cola 600” that year was once again Jeff Gordon, driving his Rainbow Warrior.
The Model Kit
This model kit by Monogram from 1997 is a Chevy Monte Carlo.
The kit is molded in white with clear and chrome-plated parts and includes a complete “Coca Cola 600” decal sheet.
The car is painted in a single color, so the overall assembly is quite easy. This Buick Regal by Monogram fits perfectly into the NASCAR 124 rules.
