Jack Baldwin, the Role Model of the Modern Era
The 1992 Trans Am Series champion, Jack Baldwin, drove the SCCA Camaro in 1993 with Hot Wheels as the primary sponsor. The Mattel Hot Wheels Camaro, owned by Bud McCall, was built at the American Equipment Racing shop and was fielded by the GM factory team in several SCCA races.
Jack Baldwin was the first driver of the modern era to complete every lap of every race in the year of his championship. This earned him the “Chevy Proud Motorsports Achievement Award” for outstanding performance.
The Model Kit
Jack Baldwin’s Mattel Hot Wheels Camaro is a very rare and extremely detailed Revell model kit in 1:25 scale. It features a beautifully and accurately detailed 310 cubic inch V8 engine with 570 hp (of course only in the real car) and a tubular space frame chassis.
The kit parts are molded in blue, black and clear, and a complete “Hot Wheels” decal sheet is included.
Notice
This model kit is not a children’s toy!
It contains small parts that can easily be swallowed. Never leave children under 10 years of age unattended with a model kit like this!
Please note that the included decals may be brittle due to their age. If you wish to use them, be sure to pre-treat the decals before soaking them in water and coat them with a suitable decal film! I do not provide any guarantee for the usability of the decals!
