Todd Bodine
Todd Bodine was born on February 27, 1964, and is the younger brother of NASCAR legends Geoffrey and Brett Bodine.
His bald head earned him the nickname “The Onion” among his fellow drivers. Bodine won the Truck Series championship in 2006 and 2010.
Todd Bodine’s career was marked by ups and downs. In 2001, after a few turbulent years, he landed a full-time deal with Haas-Carter Motorsports again, driving the Ford Taurus with number 66 and primary sponsor K-Mart.
Although he managed to secure the pole position three times, Todd made it into the top 5 only twice. He failed to qualify for the Daytona 500, and numerous technical problems led to a 29th-place finish in the 2001 season standings.
Todd Bodine started the 2002 season with the K-Mart Taurus once again. However, his season ended early after K-Mart went bankrupt and dropped out as a sponsor.
The Model Kit
This 2001 model kit by Monogram is a Ford Taurus from the then-current Winston Cup Series. It is a ProFinish model kit.
The body comes pre-painted in multiple colors and has the primary sponsor’s logos as well as the car numbers applied using the tampo printing process. All that’s left to do is apply the included stickers (or aftermarket decals).
Thanks to “SnapTite,” the rest of the assembly is very easy to complete.
