Darrell Waltrip
Darrell Lee Waltrip (born February 5, 1947) is the brother of Michael Waltrip and one of the legends of NASCAR.
The three-time Cup champion (1981, 1982 and 1985) won 84 Cup races during his racing career and set countless other records, some of which still stand today. He was voted Most Popular Driver multiple times and was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2003.
TV viewers of NASCAR races know his call “Boogity, boogity, boogity, let’s go racing boys!” well, as soon as the green flag is waved to start the race.
The Model Kit
This 1997 model kit from Revell is a Chevy Monte Carlo in the blue, white and red Western Auto design.
The parts are molded in white and clear. Included are chrome-plated parts and black vinyl tires.
A very nice model for your display case, or for building a high-performance slot car according to Sakatsu / Thunder rules.
