The Gen-6 Ford Fusion
With the introduction of the Gen-6 cars in the 2013 NASCAR season, the Ford Fusion also received a completely new design. With its stylish lines and distinctive front end, it stands out clearly in the field of Cup cars.
The Ford Fusion is fielded by teams including Richard Petty Motorsports (Aric Almirola, Marcus Ambrose), Roush Fenway Racing (Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Greg Biffle, Carl Edwards), Team Penske (Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano), and others.
The Fiberglass Kit from BCC
The Berlin-based manufacturer BCC produces high-quality bodies made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) and other materials. Thanks to many years of experience in model building and slot racing, the makers succeed in producing cars that are not only exceptionally detailed, but also stable and durable under hard racing use.
A new manufacturing process (2015, red laminate) has brought further improvements to the products. The surface has been refined even further, and thanks to high-quality carbon rovings laminated in, the bodies are extremely stable at a slightly lower weight. This is a decisive advantage, especially for use as a slot car.
Upon request, an individual lightweight version is also available. It relies on custom weight distribution and maximum performance.
For this version, a high-tech fabric (approx. 68 g/sqm) is double-laminated and additionally reinforced with carbon fiber rovings at critical points.
Both versions are also available in a paint-ready version for an additional charge. In this case, the body is already fully prepared (window openings cut out, edges milled, surface filled and primed white) and the Lexan windows are cut out and ready to install.
