Ricky Rudd
Ricky “The Rooster” Rudd was born on September 12, 1956, in Norfolk County, Virginia. As NASCAR’s “Iron Man,” he holds the record for the most consecutive starts. By the end of the 2005 season, he had started 788 races in a row.
Rudd left Hendrick Motorsports at the end of the 1993 season and founded his own team, Rudd Performance Motorsports, in 1994. As an owner/driver, he went on to drive the Ford Thunderbird (technically a Superbird in its 10th generation) with the number 10 for sponsor Tide.
The Model Kit
This 1994 Monogram model kit is a Ford Thunderbird.
It is 8.4 inches (21.3 cm) long, and the parts are molded in white and clear. Included are chrome-plated parts and black vinyl tires. The kit features, among other things, a detailed chassis and the then-new suspension system of the race car.
A very nice model for your display case, or for building a unique slot car according to Sakatsu / Thunder rules.
